The owner’s long time passion for Japanese cuisine and culture set the stage for a rewarding collaboration. Set within a multi-tenant building, this 5950 sf tenant improvement project began with only a structural shell. The program involved a fully appointed kitchen, a full bar, 3 dining rooms including an extensive sushi bar.
At center stage is a Koi pond with waterfalls spilling from the stone wall backdrop.
The detailing contains subtle abstractions of Japanese forms and the simple curve of the Koi. The color palette and lighting were of prime importance in evoking a sophisticated, contemporary and inviting environment.
