Avondale Multi-Tenant Building
Redmond, Washington
Within a newly developed site, this 12,400 sf multi-tenant retail building was designed to accommodate 6 retail spaces, including one larger anchor tenant. The building is steel-framed with large expanses of storefront windows under steel canopies, and clad with split-faced concrete masonry. The modulated roof forms and timber details are reminiscent of a residential scale and evoke a sheltering hospitality. Early schematic studies involved a two-story mixed use building with offices above and a core lobby.
